Choose a values-based decision that you must personally act upon.
Explain the dilemma well enough for a reader who doesn’t know you to understand the difficulty. Then, briefly explain the biggest consequences, obligations and/or moral ideals of each course of action. You can even put these in bullet-points if you prefer. This is just a pre-writing, brainstorming exercise.
he second step, due in a few weeks, will be to construct a chart of the argument that follows the four steps as they are laid out in your book. See the Part 2 assignment for details and examples. It is usually found in Lesson 10A, or close to there.
Dilemma:
I am currently considering whether to pursue a career in healthcare or law. Both fields align with my values of helping others and making a positive impact on society. However, each career path presents distinct challenges and rewards.
Consequences:
Obligations:
Moral Ideals:
Ultimately, the decision between a career in healthcare or law will depend on my personal values, interests, and goals. I will need to carefully consider the potential consequences, obligations, and moral ideals associated with each option to make an informed decision.
