As a historian examining change over time, how do you plan to analyze the evolution of your topic

My Research Question: How has the role of women in society changed over time? As a historian examining change over time, I plan to analyze the evolution of the role of women in society by looking at a variety of factors, including:

• Economic factors: How have women's economic opportunities changed over time? Have they had more or less access to education and employment?
• Social factors: How have cultural norms about gender roles changed over time? Have women been more or less accepted in traditionally male-dominated roles?
• Political factors: How have women's rights been enshrined in law over time? Have they had the right to vote, own property, and hold political office?

Based on what I already know, I believe that there have been several key turning points in the history of women's rights. One was the Industrial Revolution, which led to more women entering the workforce. Another was the suffrage movement, which won women the right to vote in many countries. And more recently, the #MeToo movement has helped to raise awareness of sexual harassment and assault. I am excited to learn more about the specific experiences of women from different backgrounds and cultures. I am also interested in learning more about the challenges and successes of the women's rights movement. Here are some specific questions that I am hoping to answer in my research:

• How did the Industrial Revolution affect the lives of women?
• What were the key arguments used by the suffrage movement?
• How has the #MeToo movement changed the way we think about sexual harassment and assault?
• What are the challenges and opportunities facing women today?
