At eighteen years of age, Khachaturian moved to Moscow and enlisted at the Gnessin Musical Institute in 1922. His piece educators included Mikhail Gnessin, Reinhold Gli�re, and later at the Moscow Conservatory, the eminent Nikolay Myaskovsky and Sergey Vasilenko.
