Crucial in any organization is communication. This involves the exchange of ideas, information and knowledge from one person to another. However, for effective communication to occur, each participant must be able to showcase a good speaking and listening skills for effective realization of the elements being passed across. That said, this paper focuses on the aspect of listening skills and its general impacts on communication. It must not get lost in our minds that in any working organization, there is always communication between employees themselves and employers what forms horizontal and vertical axes of communication respectively. This paper posits the significance of listening skills specifically and how it applies in interview process, employee’s complaints among others in realization of the communication aspect.
