Corinthians 2:9 teaches us, “No eye has seen, no ear heard, nor the heart of man conceived, what God has prepared for those who love him.” Respond to the following in a conversational tone and narrative form.
What does 1 Corinthians 2:9 mean to you?
What were some of the critical symbols you saw in the video?
How would you apply the video to your decision-making?
What did the cell phone, the navigation system, and girlfriend mean in the video?
When was a time you recalculated?
Do you have something in your life that helps navigate and keep you on track?
What will you do to stay on your path in this course and the DBA program?
What Scriptures or other faith-based references support this concept?
1 Corinthians 2:9, for me, is like looking at the night sky. There’s so much out there, twinkling and vast, that we can’t even imagine. It’s God’s way of saying, “Trust me, there’s amazing stuff coming your way, things you can’t even dream up yet, if you just love and follow me.”
Speaking of amazing stuff, that video was pretty cool, right? The phone with the old software – that felt like being stuck in a rut, going in circles because my thinking was outdated. The navigation system? That’s God’s guidance, like an inner GPS showing me the better way. And the girlfriend, well, that’s gotta be the support system we all need, the people who cheer us on and keep us grounded.
There was this time I was laser-focused on getting a promotion, working all hours, barely sleeping. Then my grandma, bless her soul, sat me down and said, “Honey, there’s more to life than climbing that ladder.” It was like a forced recalculate. I realized I was missing out on life, and there had to be a better path.
Now, my faith is definitely my navigation system. Prayer is how I check in with God, and the Bible is like the ultimate roadmap. Plus, I have this amazing community of friends at church who keep me accountable and remind me why I’m on this journey.
This course and the DBA program, they’re my new adventure. To stay on track, I’m setting realistic goals, scheduling study time (phone on silent!), and rewarding myself for reaching milestones. Maybe I’ll even find a study buddy – someone to navigate alongside me.
As for scriptures, Romans 8:28 is a favorite: “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” That verse reminds me that even when things get tough, there’s a bigger plan at work, and God’s got my back.
So yeah, this course, the DBA program, all of it feels like a step towards that amazing stuff God has planned. And with faith as my guide and a good support system, I’m excited to see where the journey takes me.
