The UK in particular seems to have lost more than its peers from COVID. UK trade not only suffered significant decline in 2020, but also recovered less swiftly compared to its main competitors. statistics show that UK`s GDP declined by 9.9% in 2020, which is its worst reduction since 1955 (ONSs GDP) and compares poorly with the other advanced OECD economies.
