The article that I came across was antivirus a people from AIDS so can they help with covid-19. The article talks about how artists like Tiko Kerr who are living with HIV, the virus that causes AIDS or lobbying for access to experimental drugs and hopes to save people with HIV who’s on death door from dying. Dr. Julio Montaner and other researchers won the right to use of the experimental drugs, to create a new version of a cocktail mix of medications to treat HIV the mixture had work so well it had dropped Kerr viral load dramatically within days. The article goes on to talk about how health experts have been giving warnings for years about the threats posed by emerging viruses so they’re doing research on people’s blood who were infected with different viruses like the covid-19. They got samples of blood from us patients who recovered from the disease and within days they were able to isolate 500 unique antibodies from that person. The antibodies are now being tested with the company’s partner multinational drug company Lilly to find a cure or a vaccine.
