Horizontal organization structures

An organizational structure is the group of rules, roles, relationships and responsibilities that outline how your company`s activities are directed to meet its goals. There are eight types of organizational structures, each of which is either centralized or decentralized in terms of who has the power. Flatarchy structure, also known as horizontal or flat structure, is one of the types of organizational structure. A horizontal structure is a decentralized organizational structure in which almost all employees have equal power. A horizontal structure has only two or three chains of command. For example, a horizontal company may include the business owner at the top of the hierarchy, followed by one layer of managers or team leaders with the rest of the company below them at the same hierarchical level.
