Risk management is the process of identifying, assessing and controlling threats to an organization`s capital and earnings. These threats, or risks, could stem from a wide variety of sources, including financial uncertainty, legal liabilities, strategic management errors, accidents and natural disasters. Risk management has evolved along with the business model changes, from making individual, transaction-based decisions on a combination of judgment and underwriting criteria, to looking at aggregate portfolios of risk enabled by more robust analytical tools. Risk management enables project success – employees can reduce the likelihood and severity of potential project risks by identifying them early. If something goes wrong, there will already be an action plan in place to handle it. This helps employees prepare for the unexpected and maximize project outcomes.

Barthes (1964) exact that a Semiological system can importantly exist in which there is language, but little or no speech.
