I chose to listen to the webinar titled “Leadership and Decision Making: Military Tactics for Business Results” provided by WebEx Channels (http://www.webex.com/webinars/). This webinar was chosen because it is applicable to my studies in Leadership Development and I am also interested in understanding how military habits can be applied to corporate settings and other organizations beyond the military realm, including education, healthcare, and government sectors.. The speaker touched on important aspects such as decision making processes, situational awareness, risk management, mission imperative thinking, building trust among team members, effective communication practices among colleagues and stakeholders, leveraging feedback loops for continuous improvement plans ,and achieving success through measured goals while dealing with complexities.

During my listening experience I identified a strong principle of effective leadership which focused on staying agile by developing adaptive plans that are malleable enough so they can be adjusted when necessary due circumstances arise . To me this means being able apply an unpredictable strategy for problem solving if needed without having settling into just predetermined strategies or solutions . As leaders we must remain open minded so we don’t miss any potential opportunities or options available at hand .

By applying these principles I believe I can further develop my personal leadership skill set by keeping myself open-minded when dealing with complex scenarios such as those encountered during difficult situations within my organization . It also enables me gain insight from different angles – learning from past experiences but also looking forward towards possible creative solutions when needed based upon requirements posed by current conditions .

A practical example of this would be working within a tight budget constraint while trying achieve measurable results effectively. In this case ,agile management methods allow us adjust our approach depending on what is most suitable given limited resources available at any particular moment instead rigidly adhering only pre-planned strategies regardless of their actual efficacy under changing circumstances.

In conclusion ,the seminar gave great insights into how military tactics could be used within business contexts to achieve desired outcomes while inspiring creativity both individual level organizational level initiatives.
