Standing on the top of a cliff, looking out to the vast expanse of ocean, I am in awe of my surroundings – both thrilling and calming. The sun is setting, painting an incredible backdrop of oranges and reds that stretch as far as the eye can see. Up here, it feels like I’m standing on top of the world; everything else has become insignificant in comparison.

The wind seems to rise up from below me, brushing against my face and blowing through my hair with a sense of freedom. Flower buds dance gracefully around me, pushed by gusts that come at regular intervals. The smell carries with it a hint of salt from the sea far below – where seagulls swoop down for bits washed ashore by restless waves.

Out in front there are two rocks jutting out into open water – small islands reaching up towards endless sky dotted with stars that begin to appear as night takes hold. Clouds float by like wisps of cotton candy before fading away again into nothingness.

Below me lies an enormous beach full of rolling sand dunes leading all the way to the edge where they meet deep blue waters lapping against soft white sand; so inviting yet so far away.

The sound is peaceful and soothing – interrupted only by occasional ripples heard coming from some distance away – enough to lull me into a trance-like state as I take in this breathtaking view surrounded by nature’s beauty and majesty until finally darkness falls completely leaving behind twinkling stars spread across an infinite canvas above.
