Overcoming problems in technology

Read about the history lens in action. For this assignment, choose one of the films in the How We Got to Now with Steven
Johnson series to watch and review for this assignment. Links to the films can be found in the Reading and Resources section of Module Three. Other historical
bio-films may be used only with instructor approval. You will watch the film through the history lens and will have the opportunity to practice the
communication and technical skills needed for your final project. You will create a short PowerPoint presentation with an oral narration using the PowerPoint
narration tool. This will also allow you and your instructor to check that your technology works for this project, and to troubleshoot any potential difficulties
before the project is due. This activity must be submitted in PPTX format for your professor to give you feedback on whether your technical components are
correct.
Prompt
In a couple of PowerPoint slides, use the PowerPoint narration tool to verbally record your answer to the following questions:
 What are the challenges the characters face in overcoming problems in technology?
 How does critically analyzing technology add value to interactions with people in personal and professional contexts?
Throughout your short PowerPoint presentation, make sure you use effective multimedia and communication skills:
 Construct your presentation in a way that ensures the audio and visual elements are logically organized in order to convey your message to your
audience.
 Provide supporting evidence in your presentation that supports the importance of the chosen issue or event and its impact within technology.
 Develop the audio narration to logically flow with the presentation to articulate the importance of critically analyzing the chosen issue or event and its
impact within technology.
NOTE: When recording the oral component of your presentation, a headset or external microphone is recommended for better results. However, you can also
use the microphone incorporated into your computer or cellphone. Use the Check file compatibility with earlier versions and “Are you having video or audio
playback issues?” resources from Microsoft to help you check compatibility between versions of Office.

antoprazole is widely used proton pump inhibitor (PPIs) and it is a significant drug in the treatment of acid-related disorders [183] and biliary also effective against Helicobacter biliary infections alone or combined with other drugs, like metronidazole, clarithromycin or amoxicillin [184]. This drug was the first water soluble benzimidazole, sodium 5-(difluoromethoxy)-2-[[(3,4 – dimethoxy- 2- pyridinyl) methyl] sulfinyl]- 1H- benzimidazole sesquihydrate [185].
A molecule with benzimidazole substitution exhibits potent and long-lasting inhibition of gastric acid secretion by selectively interacting with the gastric proton pump (H+/K+-ATPase) in the parietal cell secretory membrane [183, 186].
The molecular formula is C16H14F2N3NaO4S×1. 5 H2O and molecular weight is 432.4 g/Mol[185]. Because of gradual degradation of pantoprazole sodium during heating, the melting point cannot be accurately determined. It is a white to off-white crystalline powder. The structural formula is: [185]

Pantoprazole has numerous advantages compared to its analogues (e.g., Omeprazole and lansoprazole) such as greater stability in a neutral PH environment, specific site of binding, and longer duration of action [187]. In addition, it shows no potential to either induce or inhibit the CYP 450 [183,184, 188]. It is a more selective inhibitor of acid secretion than other proton pump inhibitors [189].

Pantoprazole is used for treatment of erosive esophagitis, or “heartburn” caused by gatroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), a condition where the acid in the stomach washes back up into the esophagus. Pantoprazole can also be used to treat Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, a condition where the stomach produces too much acid.
The most common side effects of pantoprazole include blurred vision, dry mouth, abdominal pain, fatigue, flushed, dry skin, increased hunger, increased thirst, and increased urination. The o
