Police brutality also known as excessive force, is force in excess of what is legitimately expected of police officer to use in quelling riots, demonstrations or while effecting arrests. Constitutionally, police officers found guilty of using excessive force are bound to face legal consequences. This however is never the case in most countries especially in third world states and maturing democracies where department of police is weaponized and used in operations meant to suit the demands and dictates of sovereigns.
