To be able to care for patients, you must be able to care for yourself. What are some practices you plan to implement to help you care for yourself and why?
At this point in my education, I see myself as a compassionate and caring nurse who is dedicated to providing quality care. I am also a good communicator and I am able to build rapport with patients and their families. I am confident that I have the skills and qualities necessary to be a successful nurse.
I would like to work in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit). I am drawn to this unit because I am interested in the challenges and rewards of caring for critically ill patients. I believe that I have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide the high level of care that these patients need. I am also excited about the opportunity to work with a team of highly skilled nurses and doctors.
In order to be able to care for patients, I must also be able to care for myself. I know that self-care is essential for preventing burnout and maintaining my physical and emotional health. Here are some practices that I plan to implement to help me care for myself:
