Discuss the effect of Schools on Crime in the Neighborhood
Violence and crime in schools is a rising problem. This problem has created fear among many students and parents. A lot of research does show that higher violence is related to city schools, though there is still a significant amount in schools outside of the city. School violence does not actually begin in the school. Violence and crime in schools is related to the home life experience of the children. The first socialization agent of children is the family whereupon one’s personality is developed. School is another social agent that polishes children with good behaviors and higher social skills including good citizenry and civic roles. This essay will focus on the effects of schools on crime in the neighborhood and explain further the existing relationship between each.
