Explain why the Greek independence movement was successful that took place in the early 1800s, with the aim of overthrowing the Ottoman empire and creating an independent state?
According to 20th century French philosopher Michel Foucault, without the notion of ‘heterosexuality’ homosexuality does not exist. Thus, for Foucault, sexual categorizations identity are social constructs and that the idea of homosexuality is deviance whereas heterosexuality is the norm is societal construction and not a fact. Within the context of many same-sex and different sex environment, this paper will discuss the existing rationale between the two aspects of sexuality. As such a constructivist and positivist analysis will be given to explain the view of sexuality as to whether it has a correlation with race or whether it’s a disability in cases of same sex among other pertinent issues surrounding it.
