Teotihuacan is an ancient Mesoamerican city that is situated about 50 km (30 miles) in the northeastern part of the modern-day Mexico. In 1980, Teotihuacan city was declared by the UNESCO as a world heritage site and has been in existence from as early as 400 B.C. At the point when the city was established by the Aztecs in 1400s and named it Teotihuacan, which means the place where the gods were create, it had been abandoned for centuries.
