Tell us your story. What unique opportunities or challenges have you experienced throughout your high school career that have shaped who you are today?
I am 18 years old, throughout high school I make friends easily and pretty much get along with everyone. I would say that I am an above average student.
In this paper I want to write about my experience with having strict parents here are some details;
– I was rarely allowed to go out with friends even at an older age, they have been strict if about it.
– I felt extreme pressure to do good in school because of their high expectations.
– I wasn’t also allowed to participate in a lot of school events (only some) as well as field trips.
– This made me miss out a lot of the fun through out high school and despite having lots of friends, I’ve always felt alone and insecure about not being able to go out.
– Sometimes I feel some hate towards them for making me miss out on these stuff, but at the same time I always try my best to match their expectations with my grades.
– My relationship with them is quite complicated, we were never expressive about love and affection and they’re your typical asian parents.
– As I grow older I realized that it was their way of loving and protecting me, even though I disagree with it, I start to see their point of view.
– These experiences shaped me to always be wary and careful of the outside and in a way, protected me from a lot of things.
My relationship with them is complex as we rarely express our love and affection towards each other which is typical of Asian families. As I matured throughout high school, I began to better recognize their intentions behind setting such stringent rules–it was their way of showing love and protection even if it felt oppressive at times. Therefore while there were times when I disagreed with them and expressed resentment over being deprived of certain opportunities that my peers had access too, eventually I started understanding where they were coming from more clearly.
This journey has taught be vigilance in considering the consequences before acting; something that will remain an invaluable lesson now that I am an adult preparing for university life ahead of me. While things may not always be easy between us due to our lack of openness about expressing emotions or discussing important matters openly, these experiences ultimately shaped who am today by instilling certain values in me such as resilience despite adversity and balancing caution versus risk-taking in order achieve success both personally and professionally .
understudies. Given the expected worth of such figures propelling scholastic achievement and hence impacting results like maintenance, wearing down, and graduation rates, research is justified as it might give understanding into non-mental techniques that could be of possible benefit to this populace (Lamm, 2000) . Part I: INTRODUCTION TO THE STUDY Introduction The country is encountering a basic lack of medical care suppliers, a deficiency that is supposed to increment in the following five years, similarly as the biggest populace in our country’s set of experiences arrives at the age when expanded clinical consideration is essential (Pike, 2002). Staffing of emergency clinics, centers, and nursing homes is more basic than any time in recent memory as the enormous quantities of ‘people born after WW2’s start to understand the requirement for more continuous clinical mediation and long haul care. Interest in turning into a medical caretaker has disappeared as of late, presumably because of the historical bac
