The ethical concepts I have learned in my AS program are accountability, integrity, and objectivity. All of these concepts are important for any career but they are especially applicable to management, accounting, or finance as they all involve dealing with confidential information and making difficult decisions that can have a huge impact on the company or organization. Accountability is an important concept because it means taking responsibility for one’s own actions and admitting when mistakes were made; this is especially true in positions of leadership where people must take responsibility for their teams’ successes and failures alike. Integrity refers to doing what is right even when no one else is looking; this can be hard in situations where temptation to do otherwise is present but having a sense of honesty and truthfulness provides assurance that you will make the best decisions possible regardless of the circumstances. Lastly, objectivity requires being impartial when evaluating different choices or options; this ensures fairness when making decisions which could affect many people within an organization—especially those involving money or resources allocation—where personal biases should not be taken into account.

These ethical concepts are essential for anyone going into management, accounting, or finance as they all require someone who is capable of leading others while still adhering to high standards of moral conduct. As someone who plans to pursue a career in finance myself, I believe that understanding these principles will help me excel in whatever role I may find myself in by upholding the highest level of trustworthiness and ensuring transparency at all times so that everyone involved feels comfortable trusting me even with sensitive matters such as personal finances.
