In this assignment you have the opportunity to look at employee voice and protections and restraints on that voice.
Prepare a PowerPoint presentation (10-12 slides, not counting the cover slide or the references slide). Your presentation should include at least two of the
following: tables, charts, pictures, drawings, or other visuals. (For example, you may want to include two tables, or one table and a pie chart.) These visuals
should provide important information to significantly enhance your presentation. Be sure to explain the visuals to your audience. The presentation is being
conducted on the shop floor and is being specifically directed to first-line supervisors and must stipulate what employees can and cannot openly say about
their coworkers, supervisors, and employer. Cover how the term “protected concerted activities” affects workplaces.
Provide detailed speaker notes (at the bottom of each slide).

In this presentation, we will look at Employee Voice and the protections and restraints that can be put in place to ensure a fair and trusted workplace. The first part of our presentation will explain what employee voice is. We will discuss how it enables employees to communicate their ideas, concerns, and opinions on a range of topics including working conditions, job satisfaction, safety issues, pay disparities and more. We’ll also explore how giving employees a platform to speak up can help build trust within an organization and create a culture of collaboration.
We’ll then look at the various forms of protection that employers can provide for their workers in order to protect them from any potential repercussions for voicing their opinion or speaking out against unfair practices. This could include establishing anti-retaliation policies that prohibit any form of retaliation against workers who speak up as well as providing access to external resources such as legal advice or support services if they feel they’ve been wronged in some way.
The final part of our presentation will focus on the potential restraints that employers may have when it comes to allowing employee voice within their organization. These could include things like union regulations or government laws which limit the types of conversations allowed between workers and management about certain topics; cultural norms which may discourage people from sharing their true thoughts due to fear of reprisal or embarrassment; or even strict company policies which are designed to ensure silence regarding certain matters.
Once all aspects have been discussed there should be an open discussion so everyone present has an opportunity ask questions & provide feedback on anything covered before moving onto next topic . Ultimately, the key takeaway should be how important it is for both employers & employees work together create safe environment where individuals feel comfortable expressing themselves without fear being silenced due either party’s interests getting compromised over other along way.
