For this assignment you will be completing a web-based training on assistive technology or AT. The learning objectives for the web-training are:
Describe assistive technology interventions to promote children’s access to and participation in inclusive settings.
Use a decision-making process to help integrate various sources of evidence and determine whether assistive technology interventions are appropriate for use within a specific context.
The objective of this Key Assessment is to help you learn more about how to help a child participate more fully in an inclusive setting through assistive technology interventions.

If your child has a learning disability, he or she may benefit from assistive technology tools that play to their strengths and work around their challenges. Assistive technology (AT) can be an effective accommodation for children with learning and attention issues. Understanding what AT is and how it works is the first step toward finding the right tools for your child. Text-to-speech (TTS) is a type of assistive technology that reads digital text aloud. It’s sometimes called “read aloud” technology. TTS can take words on a computer or other digital device and convert them into audio. TTS is very helpful for kids who struggle with reading, but it can also help kids with writing and editing, and even focusing.

This could indicate that while CBC’s movies may be more hit or miss in terms of quality than either ABN’s or BBS’, they also have more potential to become big hits if done right – something which would benefit both audiences and investors alike as it could lead to greater returns on investments in these films..
