The issue of immigration has been at the forefront of political discourse in recent years due to President Trump’s hardline approach to enforcing immigration laws. The president stripped away many protections previously afforded to undocumented immigrants and refugees, including those who had qualified for Temporary Protected Status (TPS). This put families at risk of being separated through deportation proceedings or barred entry into the United States altogether.
In response to this, my US Representative urges Congress to pass legislation that provides permanent protection for TPS holders and other vulnerable populations.
