Sample Solution

One problem caused by the digital divide is educational and economic inequity. Students from low-income backgrounds have less access to computers, internet connections, and other resources that are necessary for good education (Dutta & Mohan 2020). Without these tools, students are unable to complete their assignments or take part in online courses, which leads to lower grades and an inability to pursue higher education opportunities. This can create a barrier between those with access and those without it when it comes to obtaining employment or starting businesses of their own.

One solution that has been proposed is providing free devices such as laptops or tablets along with free internet access (Lauray 2021). This allows students who may not otherwise be able to afford these items the chance to close the gap in technology resources. Additionally, this would help reduce any stigma associated with lack of access due to financial circumstances. Providing broadband access specifically designed for educational purposes ensures there is sufficient bandwidth for video streaming services and other technologies necessary for good learning experiences (Merrill & O’Rourke 2020).

An article addressing this issue was written by Dakshana Bascaramurty titled “Internet Access Is Not A Luxury: How Toronto Is Trying To Close The Digital Divide” published on April 21st 2021 by The Globe And Mail (https://www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/toronto/article-internet-access-is-not-a-luxury-how-toronto-isdealingwiththe/. In her article she discusses how Toronto has implemented digital initiatives such as granting over 300 million dollars towards bridging the digital divide between those living in poverty outfitted with laptop loans and subsidized wi fi hotspots.

In any case, a few people at the Vanity Fair knew about noxious childishness They were not influenced by life, however they were as yet ready to call attention to a large number of that evil.
