In today`s classrooms, there are so many outside distractions that take students` minds away from their learning. An education that provokes problem solving, critical thinking, and higher-order questioning through Bloom`s Taxonomy can motivate students to a new way of thinking and learning. Bloom`s taxonomy is a classification of the different objectives and skills that educators set for their students (learning outcome). The taxonomy was proposed in 1956 by Benjamin Bloom, an educational psychologist at the University of Chicago. The highest level of thinking on Bloom`s Taxonomy is CREATE. When teachers give students opportunities to CREATE, they are applying their creative thinking skills and in turn thinking critically to problem solve.
