In October 2018, House of Fraser’s entire senior management team was been fired following Sports Direct’s takeover of the department store chain. The sports retailer, which is run by Mike Ashley, told the stock market the decision came after calls were made for an investigation into House of Fraser’s collapse two months ago. The merger as you can imagine is a very complicated and controversial one where one retail. Sector is taking over another, which is very different, but there are some similarities in terms of sales. One of the key drivers is sustainability and growth UK wide so different types of restructuring exercises will be undertaken as part of a drive overall brand merger and profitability ranking of the University. The merger will also demonstrate diversity of the retail sectors, which will have an impact on the economics, finance and management and brand association. They all have very different sub-cultures.

As a consultant on change management, what advice would you give on facilitating and managing the change process?
Drawing on journal articles and literature on change management write a paper outlining the way the change process could be managed and resistance can be minimized.
