The key Federal legislation addressing child abuse and neglect is the Child Abuse Prevention and Treatment Act (CAPTA), originally enacted on January 31, 1974 (P.L.93-247). This act has been amended several times and was last reauthorized on
December 20, 2010, by the CAPTA Reauthorization Act of 2010 (P.L. 111-320). It was amended in 2015, 2016, and 2018, and most recently, certain provisions of the act were amended on January 7, 2019, by the Victims of Child Abuse Act Reauthorization Act of 2018 (P.L. 115-424).
CAPTA provides Federal funding and guidance to States in support of prevention, assessment, investigation, prosecution, and treatment activities and also provides grants to public agencies and nonprofit organizations, including Indian Tribes and Tribal organizations, for demonstration programs and projects.

How do potential employers view degrees and academic qualifications earned through online education?

International employers are more concerned that the educational institution from which you graduated is accredited than the method you used to obtain your degree. Many students today employ a mix of in-person and online classes to reach their degrees, so even completely online degrees are no longer uncommon. Nigeria is now catching up with the western world

How common is Distance Learning?

Distance learning is everywhere today but relatively new to Nigeria. Corporations and the Federal Government use it to cut down on training costs and deliver “just in time” training to employees. International colleges and universities use it to reach out to non-traditional students or the disabled. Many instructors also enjoy lecturing online, as they have resources at their fingertips via the Web, and can hold on
