In order to be a good supervisor, one must employ the leadership traits and practices. For instance, to guide, direct and command among others, a group of people towards a given direction. The supervisor in any setting must be able to motivate, empower and encourage the members of their organization, department and or sector of their operation. In so doing, there are key supervisory processes that are influenced by the theories of motivation. This paper posits the key elements that are used by supervisors from theories of motivation and how they relate to the organization.
