One particularly fascinating artifact on display at the Museum of the American Indian in New York City is a clay pot created by the Mimbres people which dates back to 1000 CE (“Mimbres Pottery”, n.d.). This pot features intricate black and white geometric designs that provide insight into what life was like during this period in history.
