A developmental psychologist is a professional who specializes in examining the psychological, biological, and social development of people throughout their lifespan. This includes studying change in cognitive abilities, emotional regulation, physical growth and development, attachment relationships with parents or guardians, moral reasoning skills and identity formation. In recent years research has grown to include how environmental factors such as culture shape individual development at different stages. The article I chose from the Journal of Developmental Psychology was called “Continuity between Temperament-Related Dynamics of Attachment Relationships during Infancy and Toddlerhood”. The study focused on investigating whether links exist between an infant’s secure attachment style during early infancy to attachment styles later in toddlerhood by observing the temperament-related dynamics that take place within the parent-child relationship over time.

As there have been many more destructions of cultural heritage by Islamic State over the last few years. This essay argues that a successful protection of cultural heritage from destruction by the Islamic State could help in the fight against Islamic State.

The cultural heritage may be defined as the entire corpus of material signs – either artistic or symbolic – handed on by the past to each culture and, therefore, to the whole of humankind. As a constituent part of the affirmation and enrichment of cultural identities, as a legacy belonging to all humankind, the cultural heritage gives each particular place its recognizable features and is the storehouse of human experience.
