Thesis Statement: This paper examines the enduring struggle of American Indian/Indigenous peoples in the United States against the backdrop of Settler Colonialism, with a specific focus on the issue of land dispossession and its implications for environment
Most notably, papers should include empowering ways in which Native American women and communities are seeking change, as empowered agents and not as victims. Here, highlight American Indian resiliency and how communities create change, i.e., advocacy, grounded activism, environmental movements, organizing, etc. Here theory is directly linked to a praxis (direct action). We can all contribute to creating a more humane and ethical existence for various Indigenous populations at a regional, national, and at a global context.
