This is a persistent problem as it has been present for centuries and continues to spread despite advances in medical technology due to factors such as poverty, inadequate healthcare systems ,and climate change (Ganou et al., 2018). Additionally; these issues are further compounded by growing antimicrobial resistance among pathogens which has caused many existing medicines to become ineffective .
In order to tackle this challenge; governments at all levels must take action towards eradicating them from their respective regions by implementing policies that promote universal access to adequate healthcare services while also investing more into research and development of new treatments (Ganou et al., 2018). These efforts should be coupled with greater awareness campaigns targeting communities most affected by these conditions so they can understand transmission patterns and how they can protect themselves from getting sick.
