The Impact of Virtual Reality Meditation on Test Anxiety in College Students

Research Question: Can virtual reality (VR) meditation be used as an effective tool to reduce test anxiety in college students?

Hypothesis: College students who participate in a VR meditation intervention will experience a significant reduction in test anxiety compared to a control group who does not participate in the VR meditation.

Independent Variable: Participation in a VR meditation program (e.g., 10-minute guided meditation in a calming virtual environment).

Dependent Variable: Test anxiety scores measured by a standardized test anxiety scale administered before and after the intervention.

This experiment would involve recruiting college student participants and randomly assigning them to either the VR meditation group or a control group. The control group might receive an alternative relaxation technique or simply wait quietly for the same amount of time as the VR meditation group. Following the intervention, both groups would take a test anxiety scale to measure pre- and post-intervention anxiety levels. By comparing the changes in anxiety scores between the two groups, the effectiveness of VR meditation in reducing test anxiety can be evaluated.
