This is your own family life education program. Share your vision for the program through the creation of a brochure that provides parents with an overview of what the program would entail. I am addressing the FLE content area of technology. Technology has become an ubiquitous part of everyday life, and it is important for individuals to have a strong understanding of how it works in order to effectively use it. Thus, this educational program will focus on teaching users how to use technology safely and efficiently.

The program will be divided into two main categories: basic principles and advanced topics. The basic principles section will focus on introducing participants to the fundamentals of how computers work, as well as introducing them to key concepts such as privacy settings, cybersecurity measures, internet safety best practices, and more. Additionally, the basics section will touch upon commonly used applications such as word processing programs or email services in order to give participants a better understanding of fundamental operations that are necessary for successful online interactions.

The advanced topics portion of the program will delve deeper into specific areas within technology that require more expertise than what can be taught during the basics section. This includes topics such as coding languages/frameworks (i.e., HTML5/CSS3), web development fundamentals (i.e., website design/databases), graphics design tools (Adobe Creative Suite), media production tools (iMovie/Final Cut Pro), mobile app development (iOS & Android) among others depending on participant’s needs.
