Gender-Based Violence: A Shadow on Society
Gender-based violence (GBV) is a widespread issue that transcends cultures and socioeconomic backgrounds. It refers to any act that harms a person physically, emotionally, or sexually, simply because of their gender. This violence can take many forms, including intimate partner violence, sexual assault, harassment, and harmful traditional practices like child marriage or female genital mutilation.
