What did I learn about my own communication skills?
I learned that I am a good listener and that I am able to ask clarifying questions. I also learned that I need to be more assertive in sharing my ideas. I sometimes hesitate to speak up because I don’t want to interrupt or overstep my boundaries. However, I realized that in order to be an effective communicator, I need to be able to share my thoughts and ideas clearly and concisely.
How might I improve my communication skills to be more prepared for emergencies?
I could improve my communication skills by practicing active listening and by being more assertive. I could also improve my communication skills by learning how to give and receive feedback effectively.
What did I notice about my group’s communications that might help or hinder interagency collaboration?
I noticed that our group was able to communicate effectively and efficiently. We were able to share information and ideas in a clear and concise way. We were also able to give and receive feedback effectively. I think these skills would be helpful in interagency collaboration.
However, I also noticed that we could have communicated more effectively in some areas. For example, we could have been more proactive in communicating with each other. We could have also been more clear about our roles and responsibilities.
