Healthcare Data Standardization

This assignment is intended to demonstrate your comprehension of the primary applications of health informatics in healthcare organizations as well as your familiarity with the various informatics applications such as electronic health records (EHR) and telemedicine.
For this assignment, you will read a case study that examines issues concerned with data standardization in informatics. Based on the scenario described in the case study, you will create a presentation related to informatics education and training.
-Identified two or more issues with existing system
-Indicates appropriate “work-a-around” solutions when using existing system
-Provided overview of standard language used only in nursing from provided list; meets criteria expectations
-Provided overview of a multidisciplinary standard language from provided list; meets criteria expectations
-Created a set of five (5) open-ended survey questions to elicit staff input

Sample Solution

This assignment seeks to create a presentation related to informatics education and training which addresses issues concerned with data standardization. To do this, I plan on identifying two or more issues with the existing system and indicate appropriate “work-a-around” solutions when using the existing system.

One of the major challenges associated with data standardization in informatics is interoperability between different systems. Without consistent standards for exchanging information, it can be difficult for healthcare professionals to properly access patient records stored in different databases across various organizations (Chin et al., 2019). This lack of uniformity can lead to confusion which could ultimately result in errors that may have serious consequences for patients. Therefore, implementing measures such as establishing strict guidelines regarding what types of data should be shared; setting up secure networks that protect patient privacy; utilizing digital identification methods like thumbprints or biometrics; etc (Bergman & Cohan, 2016) are all important steps towards achieving better interoperability.

Another issue involves keeping track of multiple versions of patient records which have been modified over time due to changes made by different practitioners during their sessions. By not maintaining one central record sourced from a single repository this makes tracking down specific details quite difficult as it becomes harder to tell which information is outdated and must be updated accordingly (Zhang et al., 2017). To mitigate this problem, healthcare providers need to develop processes that allow them to easily identify discrepancies between different versions so they can maintain accuracy throughout every step in the care process.

In conclusion , improving data standardization in informatics is essential for optimizing outcomes within healthcare settings . Through my presentation , I hope to highlight some common roadblocks encountered when attempting integrate new technologies into existing systems – including issues related interoperability and version control – while also suggesting practical “work-a-round” solutions such as those mentioned above.

regards to the osmosis of pieces into lumps. Mill operator recognizes pieces and lumps of data, the differentiation being that a piece is comprised of various pieces of data. It is fascinating to take note of that while there is a limited ability to recall lumps of data, how much pieces in every one of those lumps can change broadly (Miller, 1956). Anyway it’s anything but a straightforward instance of having the memorable option huge pieces right away, somewhat that as each piece turns out to be more natural, it very well may be acclimatized into a lump, which is then recollected itself. Recoding is the interaction by which individual pieces are ‘recoded’ and allocated to lumps. Consequently the ends that can be drawn from Miller’s unique work is that, while there is an acknowledged breaking point to the quantity of pieces of data that can be put away in prompt (present moment) memory, how much data inside every one of those lumps can be very high, without unfavorably influencing the review of similar number
