Telehealth is the use of digital information technologies, such as computers and mobile devices, to access health care services remotely and manage your healthcare. These may be technologies you use from home or that your doctor uses to improve or support health care services. Emerging technologies in telehealth can help mitigate the burden put on nurses since it takes fewer nurses to provide adequate care. It also provides nurses the opportunity to reach geographical areas that are identified as having health professional shortages. Using telehealth to provide specialty services is more feasible for rural healthcare facilities than staffing those rural facilities with specialty and subspecialty providers.

On April 12th 1945, 7 weeks after Yalta, and a month before the end of the war in Europe, FDR suffered a massive cerebral hemorrhage. World War Two would come to an end that September with the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Harry Truman would preside over the end of the war and the establishment of the United Nations, something envisioned during Roosevelt’s tenure.
