Abstract:

This meta-analysis investigated the effect of leadership styles on patient outcomes in healthcare. The results showed that transformational leadership was associated with improved patient outcomes, while transactional leadership was not associated with patient outcomes. The results also showed that laissez-faire leadership was associated with poorer patient outcomes.

Data:

The meta-analysis included 23 studies that examined the effect of leadership styles on patient outcomes. The studies were conducted in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. The studies included a total of 11,522 patients.
