I am writing to you today to propose the creation of a medication assistance program task force. This task force would be responsible for designing and implementing a program that would help patients afford the medications they need.

I believe that a medication assistance program is essential for our community. Many people in our community struggle to afford the medications they need, and this can have a devastating impact on their health and well-being. A medication assistance program could help to ensure that everyone in our community has access to the medications they need to stay healthy.

I would like to invite the following stakeholders to the task force:

• Prescribers: Prescribers are in the best position to identify patients who may be struggling to afford their medications. They can also provide valuable insights into the challenges that patients face when trying to access affordable medications.
• Discharge planners: Discharge planners work with patients who are leaving the hospital to ensure that they have a plan for getting the medications they need after discharge. They can provide valuable insights into the challenges that patients face when trying to access affordable medications after leaving the hospital.
• Financial navigators: Financial navigators help patients navigate the complex system of insurance and financial assistance programs. They can provide valuable assistance to patients who are struggling to afford their medications.
• Patients: Patients are the experts on their own experiences. They can provide valuable insights into the challenges they face when trying to access affordable medications.
• Suppliers: Suppliers have a wealth of knowledge about the medications that are available and the costs associated with them. They can provide valuable insights into how to make medications more affordable for patients.
• Bookkeepers: Bookkeepers have experience with managing budgets and tracking expenses. They can provide valuable assistance in ensuring that the medication assistance program is financially sustainable.
• Subsidizers: Subsidizers provide financial assistance to patients who need help paying for their medications. They can provide valuable insights into how to make medications more affordable for patients.

In addition to these stakeholders, I believe that it would be helpful to have a group facilitator to help guide the task force’s discussions and ensure that the program is designed in a way that is effective and sustainable. I would recommend that the group facilitator be someone who has experience in designing and implementing medication assistance programs.

I believe that this task force would be a valuable asset to our community. I urge you to approve my proposal and allow me to assemble the task force.
