Learning to be a leader is a continuous introspection journey of personal development in the stadiums of
emotions, motivation, ethics, relationships, responsibilities, gratitude, behavior, and other personal traits.
Learning to be a leader isn’t a quick trip to the next training or reading the newest leadership book. Learning to
be a leader is a conglomerate of learned skills, lessons learned, and committed efforts for skills and behavior
that will increase a positive impact on other people. Reflection is also a strong criterion of learning to be a
leader. Journaling is an excellent means of reflection. You will not only reflect on what you learn but you will
also reflect on how the new knowledge will affect your role in society, in individual relationships, and in
personal and professional endeavors.
What did you learn and how will you use it? Address each of the following objectives in each of your journals:
Identify the leadership topic of the module.
Explain how the information in the required readings helped you to understand the module’s topic of
leadership.
Explain new knowledge and understanding you gained by completing the requirements of the module.
Relate the information to relevance of your thoughts and existing knowledge and understanding of leadership.
Identify the course objective(s) met in this module.

Have you ever imagined of existing solely for yourself? We exist in life individually, but when we share our stories with others we create the possibility of someone else being able to relate. In a way, sharing my personal journey statement can bring me together with others who see the same vision as myself. I know this isn’t the kind of story you’d expect to hear, but I can guarantee you this is a story that needs to be heard. My journey of self-development has taken scale on a variety of experiences. As a child, I was always withdrawn, almost as if I was in my own world entirely
