This is a statement of intent for a Ed.D in Leadership, I have the questions listed below and in parentheses I will shed light on how these questions relate to me personally.

2. How can Ed.D in leadership contribute to your career and to your desired areas of impact? (My career is in student affairs, and my desired area of impact is young scholars).
3. What leadership skills do you hope to build? (Conflict resolution, relationship building, decision making).
4. Why do you think this program can support your learning goals? (My career goals is to become a leader within student affairs and the collaborative approach to teaching and learning, practical problem solving component will allow me to develop necessary skills).
I believe in transformational leadership, which is a leadership style that focuses on inspiring and motivating others to achieve common goals. I believe that transformational leaders create a sense of shared vision and purpose, and they empower their followers to take ownership of their work. I also believe that transformational leaders are able to build strong relationships and create a positive work environment.
I have been working in student affairs for the past 5 years, and I have had the opportunity to lead and mentor young scholars in a variety of settings. I have learned that it is important to be able to build relationships with students, to create a supportive environment, and to provide them with the resources they need to succeed. I am also committed to creating a more equitable and inclusive student experience.
I believe that an Ed.D. in leadership will help me to further develop my transformational leadership skills. I am particularly interested in learning more about conflict resolution, relationship building, and decision making. I believe that these skills will be essential for me to be an effective leader in student affairs.
An Ed.D. in leadership will help me to develop the skills and knowledge I need to be a more effective leader in student affairs. My desired area of impact is young scholars. I believe that all students deserve to have access to a quality education, and I want to use my leadership skills to help young scholars succeed. I am particularly interested in working with students from underrepresented backgrounds.
