One of the most pressing issues of today is climate change which has been impacting local, national and global communities for some time now. The causes of this problem are numerous such as increased carbon emissions from burning fossil fuels; deforestation resulting from unsustainable logging practices; and inefficient energy consumption due to high levels of consumerism (IPCC , 2020). Additionally, certain attitudes and behaviors among individuals can also play a role such as indifference towards environmental conservation or lack education on how actions taken at home impact planet overall (Rowlands et al., 2017). These causes have led to further consequences like rising sea levels that threaten coastal communities ; extreme weather events caused by climate shifts; and loss of biodiversity due to destruction habitats being destroyed through human activities (Burke et al., 2015). With so many factors contributing to an ever growing situation it is clear that something needs be done in order address this problem head-on before it becomes too late. Understanding what has caused climate change along with taking action both personally and collectively will help ensure future generations have chance live in healthy world free from preventable harms.
