Write a problem-solution essay in the form of a “National Action
Plan.” The components of the essay include:
1. Introduction – In 300 words, describe the main problems you’ve noticed in the
nation. Include your thesis statement in this section.
2. Summary – Write a 300-word summary of what solutions you brainstormed.
Create a topic sentence that overviews the solutions.
3. Action Plan – Now, write a 300-word action plan paragraph. In
this paragraph, describe specific and concrete actions you could take to solve at least one
of the problems mentioned in either your introduction or your summary. Create a topic
sentence that sums up your action plan.

The world has several issues, but luckily it also has organizations and individuals ready to combat them every step of the way. The affordability of health care and drug addiction top the American public`s list of the main problems facing the country. Other issues, including illegal immigration and climate change, are seen as less pressing, due in part to stark partisan disagreements over the importance of these issues. Two-thirds of Americans view the affordability of healthcare as a very big problem for the country today. A lack of global emphasis on foreign aid, conflict and political factors have kept poverty as a driving factor. Political conflict has drastically increased over the years. Terrorism and rise of religiously-motivated insurgent groups have forced the hand of several governments.
