Opponents may counter that setting up such a large government program will incur costly startup fees which taxpayers must bear regardless of whether or not they utilize these services. Furthermore there is concern about how certain provisions may change under this new system including reduced choice of physician, increased wait times for appointments or even possible rationing depending upon budgetary constraints (Dewar 2020).
