HSCI 401 Health Leadership and Management Scheduling Assignment
Each student will be required to create a schedule for their department for a two week time period. Directions are as follows. Each employee works a 40 hour
work week, (pay period is biweekly). If you are making a schedule for hospital employees, remember that radiology and nursing must be staffed 24/7.
a. For radiology you need to consider : Radiologic technologists; CT Technologists; MRI Technologists; and front desk/registration clerks. You must schedule
20 employees for two weeks.
b. For nursing-RNs, CNAs/PCTs, and desk/unit clerk – Students will decide what type of unit you need to staff (ICU, MedSurg, ED) and decide how many
rooms are available and how large the patient assignment will be. You must schedule 20 employees for two weeks.
c. Health Promotion and Public Health -You will be staffing a Wellness Department in the health care setting. You must schedule 7 employees for two weeks.
You must cover all shifts when offering your programs to other hospital employees.
d. Athletic Training—AT, PT, intern, and front desk/admin asst. Students will determine the number of sports each AT/intern will be assigned to and consider
rehab times and at least once per day with games on occasion. You must schedule 15 employees for two weeks.
