determine whether or not they should be mentored for a leadership role within
the organization.

leadership potential of each individual.

Envision yourself as a leader of a team. You and your direct supervisor have a shared vision to
develop employees as leaders. Your supervisor has tasked you with choosing five individuals
from your team to develop for future leadership roles. You have just completed the Interactive
Groomed for Success tool to determine who you would include for leadership development
opportunities.
1. Provide an action plan for mentoring each of the 5 candidates based on desired
leadership characteristics.
a. Which (5) individuals did you choose and why? Explain why you omitted the
other individuals. Justify your reasoning.
b. Communicate your strategy for mentoring each person.
i. How will you use your leadership style, color, power, influence, and
strengths to mentor each individual?
