I agree with Elazar’s assessment of Texas’s political culture. Texans are generally proud of their state’s history and traditions, and they tend to be suspicious of government intervention in their lives. I would say that I am an individualistic political culture. I believe in individual rights and limited government, and I think that people should be free to pursue their own interests.
