Presentational Analysis of Hindustani Raga

Hindustani music, is one of the two principal types of South Asian classical music, found mainly in the northern three-fourths of the subcontinent, where Indo-Aryan languages are spoken. (The other principal type is Karnatak music). The Hindustani music diverged gradually, beginning in the 13th century, when the Islamic conquest of northern parts of the subcontinent introduced highly influential Arab and Persian musical practices that then emerged with Hindu traditions. Ravi Shankar, in full Ravindra Shankar Chowdhury, (1920-2012), was an Indian musician, player of the sitar, composer, and founder of the National Orchestra of India, who was influential in stimulating Western appreciation of Indian music. The echoes of the late sitarist and composer Ravi Shankar`s talents are everywhere.Lots of folks around the world won’t know other Indian instruments like a bansuri flute or a sarod or a sarangi, but they can instantly identify the sitar`s sound, and that is entirely thanks to Ravi Shankar.

Finally, SEL is a compulsory subject however, the amount varies in each setting and this can have a damaging effect on children. ‘It has been shown that children with greater social- emotional competence are more likely to be ready for college, succeed in their careers, have positive relationships and better mental health, and become engaged citizens’ (Claxton, 2012).
