Project on Current Events

The goal of this activity is for you to research current events related to the realm you chose to work on, such as Latin America, Asia, or Africa. Please make sure to specify on your project which Realm you chose. Also, please include a map indicating which countries you selected for the realm of your choice. For example, if you chose Latin America and you have an article about Brazil you will either have a map of Latin America including Brazil and four other Latin American countries or individual maps of each country within the realm.
For your realm (Lain America, Asia, or Africa), choose five articles from five different countries within your realm of choice from major newspapers or magazines, such as BBC, CNN, National Geographic, Chicago Tribune, etc. Make sure the articles you choose are related to Geography. For example, an article on physical geography might cover earthquakes, an article on cultural geography could address population movement, an article on political geography might cover a war, and an article on economic geography could cover GDP or GNP, etc.

Amicus only works with prisoners on death row in the United States and so I have decided to concentrate the focus of this research question in that region. Therefore, I will be concentrating on American legislation when dealing with the issue of the law in comparison to public pressure groups.
