As part of your preparation for weekly classes, you are asked to choose one article from the journals listed below and write a reaction piece in which you should provide your thoughts and critical analysis. For theoretical papers, you should focus on how the arguments are presented, justified and developed; whether you find the implications logical and consistent with the premises or assumptions; what do you think is missing in the theory and whether this constitutes a major flaw undermining the internal coherence of the theory. For empirical papers, you should focus on the plausibility of the hypotheses in light of the theory or theories the papers draw from, the mechanisms responsible for the hypothesized relationships, and the conclusions. Please note that I am more interested in your critical perspective and how it can be further developed so try summarize ideas in the assigned paper in ways that allow space for your thoughts, doubts, and promising developments for research and theory.As in all academic work, you are required to provide accurate
citations for any ideas that are not originally yours.
